Week 72:Â Mosquito Massacre
Hey everyone! This week went by really fast, but it was a good one.
Elder Job and I moved houses this week which is a huge blessing because now we have more space to have sacrament meeting! A senior couple, the Rawlinsons, came to help us clean up and move out which we were so grateful for. It was really nice getting to know them and they took us out for pizza afterward. We had to take two dressers down two flights of stairs and back up another flight. Not fun. But the pizza made it worth it.
Our new house also had a bunch of mosquitos that were just swarming in these buckets so our first morning we zapped over 500 mosquitos probably. The massacre continues...
This week was great, but to top it off Elder Renlund from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles came and spoke to all the members in Phnom Penh on Sunday. Here are a few things he shared that stood out to me.
The blessing of priesthood power and eternal families in our lives.
Jesus Christ compensates for unfairness.
And he gave his apostolic blessing to the Khmer people for their work, health, and families. Three of the most important things in Khmer culture.
I know Elder Renlund is an Apostle of the Lord and I know Jesus is the Christ.
Love,
Elder Mendenhall
