Week 40: Transfer 3 in BB3
Hello everyone! P-day got pushed back this week because we had transfers on Monday. A lot of change, but Elder Hunt and I are still together and I get to finish his training! Let's gooooo. But everyone else in the zone got a new companion. Surprisingly enough, I have served with all of the new elders and sisters already except for one. Sadly, this means people left Battambang as well. Some of my best friends, Elder Nydeggar, Elder Platt, and Sister Huntington all went to new areas. My eyes might have been a little wet when they left, but I think it was just my allergies. The house isn't the same without Elder Platt. R.I.P.
I got to do exchanges with my boys Elder Platt and Elder Tiraphatna this past week which was so much fun. It's so amazing being able to see how much we've all grown since being together at the MTC.
Earlier this week we were able to meet with our deaf investigators, Heng Ganha and Sok Veasna, which was good because we haven't been able to teach them for a while. I remembered my friend back home, Tiara Wilson, served her mission using sign language so I had the idea to ask her if she could teach them. It was a huge blessing and we were able to have a lesson over the phone this week. God never fails to show me that there is always a way for everyone.
But I am so excited for this new transfer and excited to see what happens. The past couple of transfers have been a little slow, but I feel like things are already picking up this transfer and we've been able to see so many miracles already. I have noticed that the more I express my gratitude to Heavenly Father, the more I am able to recognize His hand in my life.
Also, our investigator Eva got baptized this past Sunday which was so amazing! She was so excited and I know she is going to be an amazing member in the church. I think I've said this before, but she and her brother both want to serve missions!
That's all I've got for this week, but I hope you're all doing well! I love and miss you all.
Love,
Elder Mendenhall
