Week 33: The Light of the World

Apr 24, 2023

Hello everyone! This is going to be a short one, but I hope you're all doing well! Nothing much happening over here in Battambang this week. The work has been kind of slow, but I think it will start picking up soon now that Khmer New Year is over. One of our investigators, ម៉ាក់យាយ រ៉មឈឿត, just passed her interview for baptism on Sunday so we should be having a baptism next Sunday! Please pray for her that she will be able to make it to church next week for her baptism.

This is the last week of the transfer so we will see what happens next week. Transfer day will be on Monday and then our p-day will be on Wednesday. We'll be going to Siem Riep this week for zone conference too so that should be fun.

Recently I have been studying in 3 Nephi and one of my favorite chapters is chapter 11 when Christ appears unto the Nephites. In 3 Nephi 11:11 Christ says, "And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning." Christ suffered all things for us. He is our light in the dark. I know He lives.

Love,

Elder Mendenhall
